Our History
Glenelg, the brainchild of the late Mr. Ethelstan Friday, FRCS, began operations on 15th March 1994 in Mt. Reuil, St. Patrick’s in the North of Grenada. Dr. Stan, as he was affectionately known throughout the island was a Grenadian Scholar, Dean of Clinical Studies at the St. Georges University School of Medicine, a Senator in Government, Commodore of the Grenada Yacht Club and Chief Medical Officer. He also maintained a lively interest in the arts, farming, politics and community development.As the business grew the Head Office located in Richmond Hill, St. George’s was opened in July 2003. The bottling Plant remained at Mt. Reuil.
With the passing of Dr. Stan in May 2004, Glenelg is now in the capable hands of Dr. Angus Friday, MBA and his siblings, ably assisted by other members of the Board of Directors and a stalwart management team.
